Burger Planet to provide healthy options

New options for customers

Logan, Utah ­­­– Jayne Petersen has been hired by Burger Planet to promote new healthy eating options provided by the company. The company now offers a variety of gourmet salads and fruit packages. Petersen, a fitness and health guru, helped talk show host Opal Whitcomb lose 75 pounds and has helped many women stay fit during her career.
“I want our customers to realize that Burger Planet is committed to offering healthy choices on its menu. The hiring of Jayne Petersen fits perfectly in the company's overall focus on healthy lifestyles,”said company president James E. Muellenbach III.

Jayne Petersen and Burger Planet mascot Corny the Clown will team up in advertisements and in health appearances at restaurants and shopping malls around the country. In addition to the appearances, Petersen will work with chefs to make sure that food options are as healthy as possible. "Burger Planet has been a leader in the Quick Service Restaurant industry in offering healthy menu choices. The company believes in encouraging customers to live healthier, active lifestyles and I have spent my life trying to teach women that lesson,” said Jayne Petersen.

Burger Planet is open 24 hours a day, six days a week. The restaurant is closed on Sundays.

  1. I think that this is a really well written press release. I like the information you chose to include and the quotes. The boiler plate is also well done. My only suggestion would be to focus more on the new menu items in the lead and less on Jayne Petersen. Maybe you could put the first sentence in the second paragraph at the begining. Good job though!
